Ryan's Outpost Vacation Rentals
The Applegate Valley is a beautiful place to visit, and we now offer vacation rentals! Ryan’s Outpost is a commercial/residential property located in Ruch, Oregon. It is home to a cafe and bakery, hardware store, shipping center, 4-bedroom vacation rental, and a mobile home park with mature trees that add beauty to the surroundings and shade the property from the summer heat.
We offer three full hook-up vacation RV spots in the mobile home park. The property is situated at the gateway to the Applegate Valley, providing a great launching point for a wide range of activities.
Considered one of the West Coast’s best areas for vineyards, you will find many wine-tasting opportunities within a very short distance. The valley is home to several lavender farms that offer u-pick lavender and artisan lavender products during the summer season. Nearby Woodrat Mountain is home to the Applegate Open, Rat Race, and other popular parasailing races and is open to flyers who want to see the valley from above. Nearby Applegate River and Applegate Lake provide swimming, fishing, rafting, and boating options. For hikers and bikers, there is an abundance of public land with miles of trails to explore and amazing views to find. Ryan’s Outpost is located only 7 miles from historic Jacksonville, home to the Britt Festival and many delicious dining and quaint shopping opportunities. The Applegate Valley has many adventures to offer and Ryan’s Outpost is the perfect place for your base camp!

Upstairs 4 Bedroom House
This unique space was built in the 50s, designed to house the family above the business. It sits atop Sweets n Eats, our local cafe and bakery, so the aromas can be enticing! Situated at the gateway to the Applegate Valley, it puts you within easy reach of a wide range of wine tasting, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, parasailing, and other activities. Also, only 8 miles to historic Jacksonville with the Britt Festival and many shopping and dining opportunities.
This spacious house has four bedrooms. One king room, one queen room, 1 full room, and one with a bunkbed and 3 single, comfy gel mattresses. The large living room is a great place for the whole gang to hang out and play games, put puzzles together or watch a great movie. The kitchen is perfect for those inspired to cook, offering a built-in cutting board and marble block originally placed for candy making. There is also plenty of space to make cooking a group effort…or you can let the Sweets n Eats crew below do the cooking for you! The dining room has a large table to accommodate everyone, with 2 additional leaves stored in the “hallway” across from the bathroom. Oddly, the laundry room is also the entryway, but it provides a bench where you can sit to remove your shoes and lots of space for coolers and extra supplies. There is, however, only 1 bathroom (with an amazing black toilet installed by a previous tenant). Timing is everything!

The entrance is located up the stairs at the back of the building. You are welcome to park back there while loading and unloading, but please park in the reserved spots on the north side of the building. If you have more than 2 cars, the other cars should be parked in the parking lot south of the building. Be careful at the foot of the stairs because the Sweets n Eats crew could come scrambling out the door anytime! The entire second floor is yours, but please be respectful of the businesses and their customers on the rest of the property.
Please note that the closest gas station is in Jacksonville, 8 miles away, so be sure to have a full tank before heading out on your adventures.
